Online fashion retailer Shein is preparing to start early, informal meetings with investors to gauge interest ahead of a potential initial public offering in London, according to a person familiar with the matter.

Shein also indicated plans to enhance its operations in Singapore and is actively hiring for various positions.

Shein is facing pushback from several governments in Europe. Germany, Austria, Denmark, France and the Netherlands have written a joint letter last week calling on European Union authorities to enforce the bloc’s standards on online platforms and expressing their support for scrapping the duty exemption on parcels worth less than 150 euros.
