Macklin Celebrini’s OT winner against the Detroit Red Wings on Monday improved the San Jose Sharks’ record to 6-3-2 over the last three weeks.

General Manager Mike Grier announced today that the club has recalled goaltender Yaroslav Askarov from the San Jose Barracuda in the American Hockey League (AHL). This is his first recall to the Sharks.

Yaroslav Askarov, one of the NHL's top goaltending prospects, was called up Monday by the San Jose Sharks in a move that had been expected since the start of the season. Askarov, 22, played well for the Sharks' AHL affiliate in San Jose.
