Amazon-owned Ring, which offers a range of home cameras and a very DIY-friendly security system, is saying goodbye to its Ring Protect plans. In their place, the home security company is welcoming fall with a completely new set of subscription plans called Ring Home.

Smart security brand, Ring has just upgraded its subscription service with a new name, and five new features. Now called Ring Home, the Ring app and subscription now offer 24/7 recording, continuous and extended live view and doorbell calls on its select plan tiers.

The home security company introduces several more cool features to its Ring Protect Plan - now rebranded to Ring Home.

The new 24/7 recording capability is part of a revamp of the Amazon-owned company’s subscription plan, Ring Protect, which is being renamed Ring Home. It will require the highest tier, Ring Home Premium — previously Ring Protect Pro.

Ring Protect is now Ring Home. It's the same price, but adds things like extended live camera views and video previews in notifications, as well as sending doorbell rings to your phone.

Ring Protect is now Ring Home, and while its pricing structure is the same, it benefits from several cool new features, including 24/7 recording.
