MUMBAI: Royal Challengers Bengaluru have roped in current Mumbai head coach Omkar Salvi, under whom the domestic giants clinched the 2023-24 Ranji Trophy in March and then the Irani Cup in October, as their fast bowling coach for the Indian Premier League's 2025 edition,

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the franchise wrote, "Announcement: Omkar Salvi, current Head Coach of Mumbai, has been appointed as RCB’s Bowling Coach. Omkar, who has won the Ranji Trophy, Irani Trophy and the IPL in the last 8 months,

Omkar Salvi has joined Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) as their bowling coach for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. Salvi was earlier with the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), who won the IPL last season.

Omkar, who has won the Ranji Trophy, Irani Trophy and the IPL in the last eight months will join RCB in time for IPL 2025 after completion of his Indian domestic season duties.

RCB had appointed Dinesh Karthik as batting coach earlier this year and Omkar Salvi has worked with him for KKR in the past too.

Three-time IPL finalists are still searching for their elusive first title, and hoping the Mumbai Ranji coach can help out.
