Don Brown is out as coach of the UMass football team, the university announced Monday. After a 2-8 start to the season, Brown won’t have the chance to coach the final two games against Georgia and Connecticut, with offensive coordinator Shane Montgomery serving as interim head coach after Brown’s firing.

UMass has fired coach Don Brown, ending his second stint leading the program and the third overall, with two games to play this season.

The UMass Minutemen have two games left in the regular season. but they will do that without Head Coach Don Brown.
