CEDAR PARK, Texas (KXAN) — Evacuations are underway as fire crews in Cedar Park fight a structure fire. Cedar Park Police said the fire is on Zilker Drive near the Parke Shopping Center. Zilker Drive is in a residential neighborhood near the intersection of New Hope Drive and U.S. 183A.

CEDAR PARK, Texas — Nearby residents were evacuated Tuesday afternoon as crews battled a structure fire in Cedar Park. The Cedar Park Police Department said it was on the scene assisting the Cedar Park Fire Department with an active fire on Zilker Drive near the Parke Shopping Center.

Cedar Park Police responded to the fire on Zilker Drive near the Parke Shopping Center. Zilker Drive is in a residential neighborhood near the intersection of New Hope Drive and U.S. 183A. Cedar Park crews were evacuating nearby neighbors when the fire was first reported. CPPD said the scene is “now safe,” according to CPPD.

Construction on a long-term project to expand New Hope drive from Blockhouse Drive to CR 180 and add an innovative intersection at 138A Toll began Sept. 16.
