Google’s Chrome browser would be worth a whopping $20 billion on the open market if the Justice Department succeeds in convincing a federal judge to order divestment, according to a report.

Alphabet Inc.’s Chrome browser could go for as much as $20 billion if a judge agrees to a Justice Department proposal to sell the business, in what would be a historic crackdown on one of the world’s biggest tech companies.

Now, Alphabet, Google’s parent company, may be forced to sell Chrome. The browser, which was launched in 2008 and integrates with Google’s search engine, is used today by some 3.4 billion people worldwide.
