Schiff defeated former Major League baseball player Steve Garvey in the battle over a seat that Feinstein held for more than 30 years

Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Burbank) is facing off with Republican former professional baseball player Steve Garvey in the race for the U.S. Senate seat long held by Sen. Dianne Feinstein.

The Burbank Democrat will take the U.S. Senate seat held by Dianne Feinstein for 30 years. No Republican has won statewide in California since 2006, and Steve Garvey didn’t break that losing streak.

Donald Trump has treated Schiff as a major nemesis since the Jewish Democrat led impeachment proceedings against him.
