The tech giant on Saturday is expected to open a new Apple store at the Peterson Cos.’ Fairfax Corner, a half-mile away from its existing location at Fair Oaks Mall. It was not immediately clear when Apple plans to close the mall location, but given this is a relocation, it seems likely to occur a day or two before.

When one Apple Store closes, another one opens. While one location in Fairfax County will be shuttering its doors at the Fair Oaks Mall this week, another is scheduled to open about a mile down the road at the Fairfax Corner shopping plaza across I-66.
