After a mild, dry season throughout the fall, Calgary woke up to a fresh blanket of snow, which delayed transit and created winter driving conditions.

Environment and Climate Change Canada has issued a snowfall warning for Calgary, with heavy snow forecast throughout the morning and a total of as much as 10 to 15 centimetres expected Monday in some areas. The snowfall should ease throughout the afternoon, the weather agency said in its weather warning, updated shortly before 8 a.m.

The dreamy weather that Calgarians were enjoying for the first portion of November came to a grinding halt Monday morning.
