Trains to start running from Grand Central Station
Translink say they expect trains to start running at Belfast’s new Grand Central Station in 10 days’ time. Sunday 13 October has been pencilled in as the date for the start of train services at the £340m station. The rail line between Belfast and Lisburn has been closed for more than three months, with bus replacement services put in place.

Train services will begin from Belfast Grand Central Station on October 13. Translink said it was making “preliminary plans” for the services, which will see the rail line between Belfast and Lisburn reopen for passenger services and Enterprise services operate to/from Belfast Grand Central Station.
Translink to announce Grand Central train station opening 'very soon'
Translink's CEO Chris Conway has said that the transport operator is hoping to make an announcement on the reopening of the train line between Lisburn and Belfast and the introduction of train services to the new Grand Central Station "very soon".
Trains expected to start running from Belfast Grand Central Station in October
An hourly Enterprise service between Belfast and Dublin is planned to start on Tuesday, October 29. The £340million station opened in September with bus services running while work remains ongoing on a number of aspects including preparing for rail services and public realm works.

The bus-and-rail body said that it has “preliminary plans” to start rail services on Sunday, October 13. This will see the rail line between Belfast and Lisburn reopen for passenger services. Meanwhile the cross-border Enterprise services will operate to/from Belfast Grand Central Station instead of Lanyon Place.
