The Assisted Dying Bill is unworkable because there are not enough judges to approve decisions by terminally ill people, the shadow justice secretary has warned.In a letter to Shabana Mahmood, the Lord Chancellor and Justice Secretary,

A newly proposed law could legalise assisted dying for those who are terminally ill in England and Wales. If passed it means that terminally ill adults who are not expected to live longer than six months will be given the right to choose to end their life.

MPs will vote on Labour MP Kim Leadbeater’s Assisted Dying Bill on November 29. If passed by parliament, the legislation would make it legal to help a terminally ill person with less than six months to live end their life.
