Memphis Grizzlies forward Vince Williams Jr. will likely miss the start of the season after being diagnosed with a left shin injury.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Memphis Grizzlies announced Friday that wing Vince Williams Jr. would be out for about four weeks due to an injury. Grizzlies officials said Williams suffered from pain in his left shin during recent training, and imaging revealed a “stress reaction” in his upper tibia.

The Memphis Grizzlies had one of the most injury-plagued seasons in NBA history last year. Using a record number of players due to all of their injuries, the Grizzlies missed the playoffs after consecutive second seed finishes the previous two seasons.

I thought the injuries were supposed to be the storyline of last season. Guess not as the hits just keep on coming for the Grizzlies, just days before opening training camp over in Nashville. The team announced Friday that third year guard Vince Williams Jr.

The Memphis Grizzlies have already gotten caught in a bear trap. The Grizzlies have been forced to get creative with their guards over the last few seasons, with a combination of injuries and suspensions to Marcus Smart and Ja Morant.
