German and Finland have expressed deep concern over the discovery of a severed undersea cable between the countries through the Baltic Sea

The foreign ministries of Germany and Finland said Monday that they were "deeply concerned" by the severing of an undersea cable connecting the two countries across the Baltic Sea -- one of two Baltic Sea connections suddenly damaged in recent days.

Two undersea fibre-optic communications cables in the Baltic Sea, including one linking Finland and Germany, were severed, raising suspicions of sabotage by bad actors, countries and companies involved said on Monday.
