Citing constitutional rights and privacy violations, his defense submitted 14 briefs with the court Thursday evening in efforts to have evidence possessed by prosecutors thrown out before trial.

Attorneys for Bryan Kohberger, who is accused of killing four University of Idaho students in 2022, have argued that evidence collected by police was improperly obtained.

Judge John Judge, who turns 69 next month, will end his 40-year legal career in January. He spent 15 months handling the University of Idaho homicide case.
