Thirty-eight ports of entry along the U.S. Northern border, including four in New York, will be adjusting their hours of operation in the New Year. Beginning midnight, Jan. 6, 2025, Chateaugay’s port of entry hours will change to 6 a.

A number of ports of entry along the United States and Canada border will have reduced hours starting early next year. U.S. Customs and Border Protection, in collaboration with Canada Border Services Agency,

U.S. Customs and Border Protection is changing hours of operation at some northern border crossings in January.

Chateauguay, Overton Corners, Rouses Point, and Trout River will go from 24 hours a day to reduced hours on January 6, 2025.

Due to staffing shortages, border crossings between the U.S. and Canada have been forced to reduce their hours.
