The freshman guard had to be helped back to the MSU bench by team trainers with 52.6 seconds to play. However, Richardson had a wrap around his left ankle and was able to walk around gingerly with his teammates to thank Breslin Center fans after the game.
Tom Izzo updates injury scare to Jase Richardson
Towards the end of the win, star freshman Jase Richardson went down with an apparent lower leg injury after an awkward fall. After the win, in his post game press conference, Tom Izzo addressed the injury to the freshman guard, stating that he thinks it is just a sprain.
