Singapore drivers report no issues entering Malaysia despite not having VEP tags
Singapore-registered cars faced no issues entering Malaysia on the first day an entry permit for foreign vehicles came into effect. This is even though not all the vehicles had the permit or the accompanying RFID tag.

Singapore motorists that have yet to install the vehicle entry permit (VEP) will still be able to enter Malaysia as usual on October 1, 2024, according to road transport department (JPJ) director-general Aedy Fadly Ramli.
