Leaders of seven large school districts say they won't show a video in which state Superintendent Ryan Walters talks about a new office in his agency.

A recorded prayer was emailed in an unlisted YouTube link to Oklahoma school superintendents yesterday, telling them to have the video shared in classrooms and with parents.

On Friday, Nov. 15, the coalition sent a letter to every superintendent urging them not to show or disseminate Walters’ prayer video. The letter warns promoting the video to students and parents would violate both the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution and Article I, Section 2 of the Oklahoma Constitution.

In the video, the superintendent says religious liberty has been attacked and patriotism mocked “by woke teachers unions,” then prays for the leaders of the U.S. after saying students do not have to join in the prayer.
