NEW YORK - A shooting on the Upper West Side is impacting subway service on multiple lines in New York City. Police said a 47-year-old man was shot in the leg around 9:20 a.m. Thursday at West 69th Street and Columbus Avenue near Columbus Circle.

The victim was taken to Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital in stable condition, according to police. The suspect ran into the subway at the 72nd Street and Central Park West station. Police said the investigation was continuing. Service was disrupted or rerouted on the A, B, C and D lines, as well as southbound M7 and M11 buses.
