ROCHESTER, Minn. — The Mayo Clinic says surgeons there successfully performed a face transplant for a Michigan man who was severely injured from a self-inflicted gunshot wound 10 years ago. The surgery happened in February, but was announced this week.

A Michigan man left disfigured after a suicide attempt a decade ago now has a new face after a Mayo Clinic surgery that took 50 hours and a medical team of 80 people. FOX 9’s Mike Manzoni has the dramatic story of one man’s transformation.
