Slow-moving Tropical Depression Sara headed on to Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula after unleashing widespread floods over Honduras and Belize that killed at least one person and forced thousands to flee, officials said on Sunday.

Heavy rainfall from Tropical Storm Sara caused roads to flood and a bridge to partially collapse in northern Honduras.

With atmospheric steering currents in near total collapse, Sara has been essentially adrift while streaming a constant river of tropical moisture into the vulnerable countrysides with over 30 inches of rain so far in some areas.
