Now for this year's SEMA show in Las Vegas, Toyota has taken one of its more modern, current products, the GR86 sports car co-developed with Subaru, and dressed it up in rally livery that almost anyone who grew up watching WRC in the 1990s will recognize.

The opening day of the 2024 SEMA Show in Las Vegas was a hotbed of automotive excitement, and Toyota certainly did not disappoint with its GR86 Rally Legacy Concept. This isn’t just some shiny new paint job.

Take one 300 hp Toyota GR Corolla. Transplant its drivetrain into a GR86. Add some wings, lights and cool exhausts. Future motoring icon born.

Evasive Motorsports stuffed the Toyota GR Corolla's 300-hp three-cylinder and all-wheel-drive system into this nostalgic GR86 build for SEMA.

What is perhaps more interesting is the mechanical package of the concept. Instead of the 2.0-liter flat-4 and rear-wheel drive of the stock GR86, Toyota has dropped in the turbocharged 1.5-liter inline-3 and all-wheel-drive system from the current GR Corolla hot hatch.

Debuting at the SEMA show, the RAV-X takes the RAV4 to the extreme with a fully revised suspension and tough-looking bodywork.
