An Indian Air Force helicopter crash landed in flood-hit Muzaffarpur in Bihar on Wednesday, while delivering relief materials to affected people. The dramatic video of the incident is being widely shared on social media platforms.

According to initial reports, engine of the helicopter developed a snag after forcing the pilot to land it in floodwaters, a major part of the ALH was submerged after landing

The chopper had three personnel onboard, including two pilots who are safe. As per initial reports, the helicopter fell over Ward 13 of Naya Gaon in Aurai district of Muzaffarpur.

The helicopter made an emergency landing in a water-logged area in Aurai block. An Indian Air Force Advanced Light Helicopter on Wednesday made a precautionary landing during flood relief operations in Bihar’s Sitamarhi sector. The authorities said that four personnel, including two pilots, were on board, and all are safe.

“The helicopter made an emergency landing in a water-logged area in Aurai block. All the occupants were IAF personnel and they were pulled out by locals by the time officials reached the spot,” PTI quoted Senior Superintendent of Police Rakesh Kumar as saying.

Advanced Light Helicopter of the Indian Air Force (IAF) made an emergency landing while returning from Darbhanga in Bihar after air-dropping relief material.

District Magistrate Subrat Kumar Sen said, 'All four occupants appear safe and unharmed. However, as a precaution, they are being taken to a local hospital for check-up and treatment, if required.'
