Mia James, an 11-year-old from Henderson County, was found safe after an AMBER Alert was issued for her disappearance.

The Henderson County Sheriff’s Office issued a statewide Texas Amber Alert on Friday afternoon for a missing 11-year-old Athens girl, according to a copy of the alert. Mia James was last seen in the 6200 block of County Road 3925 in Athens around 8:30 Thursday night, authorities said.

Mia James is about 5 feet 8 inches tall and weights 98 pounds, police believe she was picked up by an unknown subject, last seen at her residence at 3925 County Road in Henderson County, north of Athens,
